Just did it this way because I was afraid for the glass... It worked out perfectly, it's the best and safe way.

Well I was either this or taking off the glass and I'd rather break the clips than the glass. I got the caps off without breaking anything. Very helpful

Kies Motorsports and others recommended to remove the mirror first to losen the clips from the inside. Didn't work for me at all as I couldn't pinch the clips together. I did how you showed and it was much easier and faster.

Tried taking the glass out first, then releasing clips from inside, smashed mirror glass once and eventually got them on. Fast forward a year later I bought another bm and tried this method, by far the easiest and fastest way! Great video 🤙🏻

I tried this on my F31 340i I was apprehensive at first but both sides popped off without breaking any clips. It took no more than 1 for each mirror. Thanks for uploading

Merci à toi, je voulais éviter de sortir les retroviseurs par peur de casser les miroirs. Vous pouvez y allez les yeux fermer, grâce à ma carte de salle de sport j'ai changer les deux coques en moins de 5 minutes !

This actually worked. I suggest using an old card as mine got beat up a bit on the edges. Used an old membership card that I threw away once done. Took less than 5 minutes.

Juz did mine a moment ago. The 3 major clip(long) is fine . Broke the bottom clips (short) ;( maybe I go too deep with the credit card?
